United Methodist Men

The United Methodist Men of Bethia is a group of men dedicated to the spiritual growth and health of all men of the Bethia Church family. The group meets on the third Wednesday night of each month at 6:30pm for dinner, fellowship and a brief program. Each meeting features a devotional time and a short business and planning meeting.

Every male in the church family is a “member” of the UMM and encouraged to attend any and all UMM functions. Proceeds from fundraisers are used to fund ministry opportunities at Bethia, the community, and the world.

Annual activities include: Brunswick stew sales, Christmas tree sale, Living Nativity, work projects and clean-up days.

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, develop a creative and supportive fellowship, and expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Bethia's UMW group meets monthly and is comprised of three circles. The Susanna Wesley circle meets at the church at 10:00am on the first Tuesday of each month. The Loretta Gruver circle meets in Room 215 at 7:00pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The Wesley circle meets in Room 215 at 10:00am on the second Tuesday of each month. The combined group meets at Bethia House on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. The UMW Woven meet on the 1st Friday of every month.

The main purpose of the UMW is mission and proceeds from fundraisers are used for mission opportunities. Major annual events include Valentine’s Day baskets for shut-ins, Mother-Daughter Banquet, UMW Sunday, Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale, and assisting with the Living Nativity.

All women of Bethia are invited to become a part of this fellowship with a focus on mission.
