Acolytes Ministry - Acolytes assist with 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship by lighting/extinguishing candles, assisting with offering and other duties specific for worship. Anyone over 2nd grade may join.

Buildings and Grounds. Maintains the buildings and grounds of the church and keeps them in good repair. (See Green Team)

Bethia Choir - Adult choir meets on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Bethia's Little Voices - Choir for grades K-5 meets on Sunday from 5-6 p.m..

Bethia United Methodist Men (BUMM). Adult mens group focused on church and community missions. Dinner meetings on 3rd Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. [visit the BUMM page]
BUMM ROAST Sponsored by the Men's Group.  Serving lunch and take-homes, during the Flea Market.  Starting at 10.00 am and ends when the last piece of pork is pulled! More details to come.

ScoutsBoy Scouts Troop #822 -  National organization to prepare 6th-12th grade boys for making ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling the values of the scouting oath and law. Meetings are on Mondays at 7p.m.

CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved to Assure Shelter). CARITAS is a church-sponsored group that houses and feeds the homeless. Bethia normally hosts CARITAS during Easter week.

Children's Choir - See Bethia's Little Voices or The Love Bugs. Meets Sunday 5-6 p.m.. (Sept. - May).

Children's Church - Worship for preschoolers (3-4) to second grade. Provides younger members of the church an opportunity to worship with a little more "wiggle" room. Meets during 11 a.m. worship service following the Children's Message.

Cub Scouts Pack #822 - National organization to prepare 1st-5th grade boys for making ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling the values of the scouting oath and law. Meetings are on Mondays during the school year at 7:00-8:30.

Emmaus Walk - Participants experience in a fresh way the love of Christ through a sequestered retreat structure. Thursday-Sunday. Two men and three women's walks annually and monthly worship gatherings on second Saturday at Bethia UMC.
Chrysalis ages 15-18 (high school), Journey 18-24 (college/young adult), Emmaus 24-adults

Food Pantry - Food donations to be distributed to the needing in the community are collected the first Sunday of each month. Non-perishable food items may be placed in the white box in the social hall.

Green Team - Keeps grass cut and weeds sprayed on Bethia Church campus. Volunteers serve in teams of three on rotation basis. Volunteers must be able to drive tractor or push lawnmower.

Greeters - Greeters give a warm welcome to members and especially to visitors to Bethia prior to 11 a.m. worship service. Volunteers must be 16 and over.

Gruver Circle - See UMW. Meets the first Tuesday at 7:30 in the Bethia House. [visit the BUMW page]

Hand bell Choirs - Adults and youths with willing hearts and enthusiastic spirits come for fun, fellowship, and to make a joyful noise. Meet Thursdays at 6 p.m.

Journey - See Emmaus Walk.

Library - Enter Room 2 and you will see rows and rows of books on all topics for all ages and interests. The library is self-service. To check out books, just fill in the information in the notebook. Donations are always appreciated.

The Love Bugs - Preschool choir for ages 2-4, meets in the preschool room on Sunday 5-6 p.m..

Mens ChoirMen's Chorus -Men 16 and older. Practice on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers. Local chapter of international organization to nurture mothers of preschools by meeting their distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. Meetings on 1st and 3rd Tuesday 9:45-12:00 (Sept.- May). Childcare provided. [visit the MOPS page]

Praise Team - Musical group that leads the New Beginnings Worship Service. Practice on Saturdays at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Needlework - Classes for ladies who want to learn or teach needlework. Quilting, knitting, and/or crocheting are featured at various times as interest is shown.

Be Still Worship - Saturday evening 5 p.m. contemporary and casual Worship Service.

New Beginnings Worship - Sunday morning 8:30 a.m. Worship Service.

Get Real Worship - Sunday Morning 9:45 a.m. Worship Service.

Welcome Home Worship - Sunday Morning 11 a.m. Worship Service.

Nursery - Care provided for newborns to 3 year olds during Saturday 5 p.m. and Sunday 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 Worship Services and Sunday School.

Nursery Volunteers - Caregivers for newborns to 3-year-olds for all Worship services and Sunday School. Volunteers must be over 18-years-old.

Pennies For Heaven - Provides lunches and Word of God to homeless in Richmond on first Saturday of the month. Volunteer groups or individuals ages 12-adult (12-14 yr. must be accompanied by adults). Meet at the Bethia House on Thursday to prepare lunches and Saturday morning to deliver them (must have your own transportation).

Prayer Partners - 8:30 and 11:00. Someone is in prayer during every worship lifting up prayer concerns, each worshipper, and the service itself that each may be blessed. Adult and youth volunteer on a regular schedule.

Reunion Group Luncheon - Monthly fellowship over lunch at Aunt Sarah's on Hull St. for all adults. Meets on second Tuesday of every month at 11:30 a.m.

Softball - Our softball team provides fellowship, exercise, and competition for men and women over 16 years old. Leagues form in the spring and play at the Winterpock Recreation Center. Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer us on to victory!

Alpha/Omega Team - Volunteers open or close the church each Sunday morning before/after services. This team ensures the church facility is ready for worship; after worship they check to see if everything is turned off and the church is locked.

Sunday School - Each Sunday 9:45-10:45. Preschool - Adult. Nursery provided. [visit the Education page]

Ushers - Ushers welcome members and visitors to Bethia and assist worshippers with seating, communion, offering, and any other special needs during the Sunday Worship Services. Volunteers are ages 16 and over.

Wesley Circle - Meets at 10:00 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Bethia House. Visit the BUMM/BUMW page

United Methodist Men - See Bethia UMM.

United Methodist Women. Women's supportive groups (ages 21 and older) whose purpose is to know God and to expand the concepts of missions in global ministries. Meets first Tuesday and third Tuesday. See Wesley Circle and Gruber Circle.

FLEA MARKET
When you are spring cleaning, please save a few nice items for the UMW Annual Flea Market. The Flea Market date is Sat, June 4, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Donated items may be delivered the week prior to June 4, & placed in the storage room in the old social hall, across from the display case. This year, all proceeds will be split between the Jackson Field Home for Girls & the fund for the four Bethia members of the Old Mutare Hospital, Zimbabwe Mission Trip. Winterpock Bulldozers - Instrumental adult musical group.

Youth Fellowship - Youth group for middle and high school students. Participants grow in faith, enjoy fellowship, and grow personally by participating in mission projects. Meets on Sunday, 5-7 p.m.
