Children's Sunday School
Sunday school is offered weekly at 9:45 am for children of all ages. Classes meet in the following locations:
Preschool (Ages 3-5) - "Old" Social Hall
Grades K - 1 - SEED Hall Room 105
Grades 2 - 3 - SEED Hall Room 220
Grades 4 - 5 - SEED Hall Room 215
Middle/High School Youth Room in "Old" Social Hall
Children's Church
Taking FLIGHT (Finding Love In God's Holy Teachings) is our worship time (during 11:00 service following Children's Moments) for children ages 4-5th grade. We learn how to worship and praise God like they do in "big church", but with a child-like focus. We have our own worship space (SEED Hall Rooms 218/219) complete with alter rail and a throne where Jesus sits each week with us. We have our own acolytes, ushers and even scripture readers. We learn all the rituals of the Methodist church, without the pressure of having to sit still. We lift up prayer concerns and praises and sing traditional hymns as well as contemporary praise music. We learn about Christian symbols as well as stories and memory verses. We always have a great time and welcome the occasional "old" people who come to play and worship with us. Mary Ann Carlson and Jennifer Mullis are your flight plan coordinators and welcome suggestions and volunteers.

Nursery
Nursery is available during each of our Sunday morning services for infants to toddlers under the age of 4.
The infant nursery, located across from the old kitchen, has cribs and changing tables available.
Bethia is also proud to offer a "nursing mom's" room. Located within the infant nursery, this private space is equipped with a rocking chair and other supplies for mom and baby's comfort.
8:30 Service: All children up to age 4 are welcome in the infant nursery.
9:45 Service: All children up to age 3 are welcome in the infant nursery.
Children ages 3-5 attend Sunday School in the Preschool Class/Toddler Room, located in the "old" Social Hall
11:00 Service:
-Babies up to the age of 2 are welcome in the infant nursery.
-Toddlers ages 2 up to 4 are welcome in the toddler room.

Acolytes Ministry: Acolytes assist with 8:30 and 11 a.m worship by lighting/extinguishing candles, assisting with offering and other duties specific for worship. Anyone over second grade may join the acolyte ministry.
2011 Confirmation Classes: The 2011 Confirmation Class is open to any person between the ages of 11 and 18 years old.
All classes will be held Sunday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. July 10 through August 28 in room #2 (Church Library) at Bethia UMC. Confirmation is a young person's opportunity to make a public profession of their faith in Jesus Christ and to confirm their Baptismal vows. Each class will provide understanding of what it means to be a Christian disciple as well as a deeper understanding of their place in the church. Rev. Carey and Rev. Elmore will lead the classes. Vacation Bible School: Lots of entertainment with themed Bible studies, crafts and adventures. Held at least one week during the summer.
MOPS: Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS groups exist to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS meets the first and third Tuesdays at Bethia, 9:30-noon, September-May. [visit the MOPS page]
 Vacation Bible School
Are you ready to find out how God is WILD about you? This year's “PandaMania” VBS will show you just that! Come join us from August 8 - August 13 from 9am-12:30pm daily to see what God has in store for you. Lots of entertainment with themed Bible studies, crafts and adventures. Held at least one week during the summer.

Youth Group
Available for students in middle and high school, Bethia's Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings at 5:00. Participants grow in faith, enjoy fellowship, and grow personally by participating in mission projects. For more information, see Bethia's Youth brochure.

Emmaus Walk (Chrysalis)
Participants experience, in a fresh way, the love of Christ through a sequestered retreat structure. Weekends are Thurs. - Sun. nights and are same-gender. Emmaus offers two men's and three women's walks annually, and monthly worship gatherings on the 1st Saturday of
each month.
