Mission Journey of Hope

We will be building a roof on a 20’ x 20’ pole barn for Journey of Hope, a nonprofit, horseback riding therapy program for autistic children. We will need people able to do construction work, and also willing to do clean-up and minor repairs around the farm.

Kits For Conference

We will set up in the S.E.E.D. Hall. We will have all the items needed to build the Hygiene Kits, and the Cleaning Kits. We will also box up the items, label each box, and tape close so they are ready to be sent to Conference.

Operation Christmas Child

We will set up in the S.E.E.D. Hall. We will have supplies to assemble school supply bags, as well as other projects to prepare for our shoebox collections this year.  If feasible, we may also pack a few shoeboxes as well!

Mission Possible Lunch

We will need volunteers to help set-up and serve, the catered lunch provided by the Mission Team.

This lunch is in appreciation for the Bethia body of Christ. All those who participated in being His hands and feet, please come eat drink and enjoy, and rest from a job well done

Pocahontas clean-up

God charged us to be good Stewarts of the earth. What better way than to spend the morning working at Pocahontas State Park? There are many jobs, including pulling up unwanted plants, picking up trash, and grooming the trails. Come and join us in a fun day outside enjoying one of God’s gifts to us

Still Waters Retreat

We will meet at the church before heading to Still Waters Retreat at 14926 River Rd (about 10 minutes from the church). Still Waters is a retreat and prayer center that is open to the local Christian community as a space to rest in the presence of God. We will be working on some minor repairs on the property, some site clean-up (i.e. raking, blowing leaves, etc.), and painting. Please wear work clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and you may want to bring a pair of work gloves. All level of skills are welcome, but if you have any particular expertise in painting, carpentry or electrical work, your help would be greatly appreciated!

bath-size soap,

adult toothbrush,

Band-Aids,

and one gallon re-sealable plastic bags.

Cleaning Kit Items:

32-64 oz. bottle liquid laundry detergent,

16-40 oz. bottle liquid concentrate household cleaner,

16-34 oz. liquid dish soap,

4-8 oz. pump spray air freshener (or 3 solid or 3 gel fresheners accepted),

6-14 oz. pump spray insect repellent,

Scrub brush,

Re-usable cleaning wipes,

Scouring pads,

Clothespins,

50-100 ft. clothesline

24 roll heavy-duty trash bags (33-45 gallon size)

N95 particulate respirator dust mask (1-3 mm thickness)

Kitchen gloves (durable for multiple uses)

Work gloves
