New Children’s Books for the Christmas Mother Needed Our Mission Committee Chair, Bonnie C. discovered that a long-time donor of children’s books will not be able to donate to the Chesterfield Christmas Mother program this year. This leaves a large void that needs to be filled. Reading is one way to help battle poverty and helping our poorest families to develop reading skills can be one step in changing the culture of poverty. As you are out shopping this Christmas season, please consider purchasing some children’s books for any age level. Perhaps the Bethia Church family can lead this call to make a difference in our community!  We will have a collection place to receive donated new books starting this weekend in the yellow shopping cart near the Pantry.
